About the role

You will operate canning, bottling, kegging, and labeling equipment, and work with a dynamic team. You are a crucial part of the production process and will be expected to work well with the packaging, brewing, and laboratory teams to maintain the high quality of pFriem beer throughout the packaging process.

A breakdown of your tasks:

  • Ensure packaging team is on task and completing the daily tasks efficiently and with obsessive cleanliness and commitment to quality
  • Create daily schedules, and help with traffic control on day to day on the floor operations
  • Train new packagers in all packaging department operations
  • Oversee packaging equipment to ensure it is operating correctly
  • Handle equipment malfunctions quickly and keep production moving
  • Work to keep raw materials and beer loss to a minimum
  • Be the go-to person for the packaging team when packaging management is not present
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs safely and without risk of injury to self, others, or company property
  • Perform all tasks with a positive attitude and be an example to all members of the packaging team

Work in a production brewery can sometimes be hectic, no matter how well we plan, and how good our team is. You don’t get fired up under pressure, and know how to prioritize, and maintain a positive attitude. You know how to ask for help and how to manage tasks and emotions when it’s go-time.

Your qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in beverage production/packaging
  • Strong demonstrated leadership and communication skills required
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, multitasking, and mechanical skills required
  • Microsoft Office and general computing skills required
  • Experience with manufacturing database programs desired
  • Ability to lift kegs, and move heavy pallets
  • Self-motivate and maintain a fast pace of detailed, accurate work
  • Solid references are a must
